ASHOK PANDEY

Ashok Pandey is working in the school education sector for over three decades. He is a postgraduate in Physics and Consultancy Management from the Allahabad University and BITS, Pilani respectively.

 

The Ahlcon International School that he heads for the past 15 years is ranked among the best Schools in India. He has served as the Chairperson of National Progressive Schools’ Conference, India (NPSC) [2015-17]. Ashok is the author of several articles, projects and research papers. His first book 'The Pedagogical Life-Essays on Educating India', described by many as an educational travelogue, was published last year.

 

He is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award (2017) by Ferguson Humanitarian Foundation International, Inc., (FHFI, USA), Advaith Foundation Leadership Award (2017) and President’s Award’ (2012) for his contribution in the field of education. Ashok has a keen interest in the professional development of teachers, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).He is an active partner to the UN’s Act4SDGs campaign.

 

Widely travelled, he has led Principals’ delegations to the University of Malta in Europe, the University of Rice in Houston, USA and to the Institute of Leadership, Nottingham, UK. He has also participated in the Australia – India Leadership Dialogue held in Melbourne, Australia.

ANAMIKA GUPTA

NATIONAL PROGRAMME OFFICER, UNESCO MGIEP

Anamika brings more than seven years of trans-disciplinary experience from the field of communication, peace building and conflict transformation, gender and human rights education into her current work of leveraging innovative digital pedagogies for transformative learning.

 

She started the Games for Transformative Learning Programme at UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute (MGIEP) where she explores the role of digital games as a tool to learn about peace, sustainable development and global citizenship.

 

Anamika holds a Master degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the European Peace University, and a Post Graduate diploma in Social Communications Media from Mumbai. She has previously worked as a journalist with NDTV and Hindustan Times, and as an educational specialist in Kashmir for at-risk adolescent girls.

ARIJIT GHOSH

VICE-PRESIDENT, EDUCATION QUALITY FOUNDATION OF INDIA

Arijit has been associated with the K-12 Education sector for 16+ years. He has a rich experience in policy advocacy, academic research, teacher training, teacher audits, curriculum design in context of 21st century skills and digital innovation in work spaces. He is an leading expert in the domain of mentoring action researchers to bring change in the classrooms and guiding leaders to bring about systemic changes in the schools. 

 

A postgraduate in Marine Science and a MBA in Human Resources, Arijit has been a professional quizmaster and has conducted various quizzes at school and at corporate houses. He was awarded with the global teacher accreditation award by Cambridge Foundation in 2014 for his work on quizzing. 

 

Having started his career as a educator, he has held senior positions at Macmillan Publishers India Limited, Pearson Education and British Council in India. He is currently the Vice President at Education Quality Foundation of India, where he works towards helping institutions improve their quality of teaching-learning.

 

LAKSHMI ANNAPURNA CHINTALURI

GLOBAL EDUCATION CONSULTANT

Lakshmi Annapurna is a Global Education Consultant and is also a certified Internal Auditor and a Lead Auditor for the ISO 9001:2015 standards. She is an alumna of Harvard University.


She is an entrepreneur and education leader at various schools for over 25 years in India and the Arab World (KSA & UAE). As a Global Education Consultant, Lakshmi Annapurna, works on school transformation projects to set up globally acknowledged systems, policies, procedures and processes including Vision, Mission and Curriculum Framework, Curriculum Development, Assessment, Teaching and Learning, Student Achievement, Administration, Leadership and Management.

 

Lakshmi Annapurna is a member of the National Working Group on Teacher Development at the Indian Principals Network; India Representative/Project Facilitator of the Centre for Global Education, Edmonton, Canada; Academic Director of Sanro Educare; Advisory Committee Member of Global Citizenship Foundation (GCF).

 

She has also presented papers at International Conferences on global issues like climate change, role of educators etc. She has presented 'SEN Students – Partners in Change' at the International Conference Core Skills for all – Access and Engagement for children with special needs conducted by British Council, and 'Children as global citizens of tomorrow – Educators – Changemakers' at the International Education and Resources Network [iEARN]– USA Chapter’s conference at Morocco apart from successfully conducting Conferences and participating in national and international conferences and events.

 

MEENAKSHI UBEROI

DIRECTOR, DEPEDAGOGICS

Meenakshi Uberoi is a transformative-education evangelist and the founding director of De Pedagogics. She designs curriculum and trains educators to equip and assist them in creating innovative, challenging and enriching classroom environments that are conducive to students becoming life-long learners.

Meenakshi drives programs to accelerate technology benefits in education with a scope of activities that cover the full spectrum of learning scenarios, including student programs, teacher PD programs, K-12 learning technologies, 1:1 personal learning infrastructure and supporting educational content.

 

She is a certified and award-winning Microsoft Innovative Educator Master Trainer and is a resource person for Pearson & for Shri Ram New Horizons. Her focus lies in addressing the diverse interest and abilities of the students by presenting information in a variety of ways using technology as a vehicle and emphasizing the relevance of class material to the world beyond the classroom.

 

Meenakshi is also a columnist for Hot Topics, the official blog for Microsoft’s Educator Network (MSEN). Her publications focus on technology-empowered teaching and learning in schools, flipped and blended learning, teacher development, mobile learning, and integration of devices into schools.

 

MEERA BALACHANDRAN

DIRECTOR, EDUCATION QUALITY FOUNDATION OF INDIA

Meera Balachandran is Director at Education Quality Foundation of India, has been Founder-Principal of Ramjas School, R K Puram, New Delhi from 1974 to 2008. EQFI has been empaneled as an accreditation agency by CBSE.


Meera is recognized worldwide as a Teacher Trainer of English, IT Quality
parameters and Citizenship Education.
 She is a recipient of the National Award from the President of India in 2000. She has travelled extensively and presented papers outside India including the United Nations in 2006. She spoke on “Girls Education in a Developing World”. This was presented at Wayne University, Detroit and Rhodes College, Memphis, USA.

 

As a nominee of MHRD she has been an executive member of the governing body of NCERT in 2010. She has many publications to her credit. In 2015 she has been acknowledged by Gary Marx, a renowned writer of the USA in his book '21 Trends for the 21st Century-Out of the Trenches and into the Future'.

 

SUSHANT KALRA

DIRECTOR, PARWARISH PARENTING PVT LTD

Sushant is the Founder-Director of Parwarish Institute of Parenting. He has developed a holistic “Child Development Model” and has deployed this innovative model through self-created workshops and sessions in the domains of teaching, parenting and counseling.

He has shared his ideas on Failure is WOW!! and Aao Baat Karein (Eradication of Child Sexual Abuse) at the TED platform.

 

Sushant won the Best Teacher and Parent Coach Award by the Federation of Public Schools, Delhi. Parwarish also won the Education INNOVATOR Award at the 5th Ed Leadership International Conference, conferred by The Council for Global Education, USA and The Center For Innovation in Education, USA.

Through a professional career of 25 years, he has trained 8,000+ individuals in change management, process optimization and new
process projects; 20,000+ parents across the world; 15,000+ teachers across leading schools of India.

 

VIJAY GHEI

VISITING PROFESSOR OF DESIGN THINKING

HULT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL

Deeply committed to the philosophy and practice of Design Thinking and its application to solving real life issues, Vijay consults about this topic and evangelizes its application for both competitive differentiation and
for social impact.

He is the visiting Professor of Design Thinking at the Hult International Business School at their Shanghai campus; IMD at their Singapore campus and at universities across the region where he teaches design thinking, problem solving, and consulting skills. His interest lies in creation and improvement of human-centered products and services; elimination of complexity and opportunities for error to deliver memorable human experiences.


After a professional career spanning 35 years, in 2015 he took retirement from NIIT Technologies Limited, concluding a 26 year stint where he last served as Senior Vice President – Head of Strategic Initiatives, Consulting and Advisory Services. He graduated as a mechanical engineer from Delhi University in 1981 and started his career with Hindustan Lever Limited.

 

AARYAN SALMAN

PRESIDENT, GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP FOUNDATION

Aaryan is the President of Global Citizenship Foundation. He has been a transformative-education evangelist and a debate & leadership coach for over four years now. Aaryan has worked with leading schools from across India towards empowering hundreds of educators and over 4,000 students in the art and science of debating; civic and citizenship education; and democratic leadership. Aaryan is also a resource person at Global Debates.

Aaryan founded Global Citizenship Foundation with the vision and drive to strengthen participatory and inclusive democracy through promotion of global citizenship education in India. He has keen interest in the field of transformative education and is as advocate of United Nation's Education 2030 Agenda.

He holds a degree in mass media from University of Mumbai and has previously worked in the capacity of Program Development Officer at Verbattle Foundation, a debate organization in South India; Sub-Editor at Outlook Magazine and Foreign Policy Analyst at World Focus Journal.

 

KUVAM MEHTA

VICE-PRESIDENT, GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP FOUNDATION

Kuvam is the Vice-President of Global Citizenship Foundation and is a development professional. He has worked on the implementation of the Principal Leadership Development Program (PLDP) and Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) to develop leadership qualities in principals and teachers and to bring about systemic changes in government schools in the State of Rajasthan.

 

As a Gandhi Fellow, he had worked towards transforming public education system and improving student enrollment, learning and teaching outcomes, capacity building, hygiene and sanitation in rural public schools. Kuvam is now working as the Chief Minister's Good Governance Associate in the State of Haryana.

Kuvam has keen interest in environmental issues and is an advocate of United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
