In a world characterized by rapid social, technological, and economic change, lifelong learners will be most successful. Learning is becoming more informal and independent. Self-directed learners need tools and platforms to help identify sources of knowledge and keep track of what they've learned.

Self-directed learners need tools and platforms that empower them to make use of this deep knowledge and facilitate learning at their own pace. Finding the best sources of knowledge can still be a challenge. But the world is changing too quickly to depend on others to define our learning journey. We need to take back control and be self-directed lifelong learners.

Towards the conceptualization of this vision, the 14th Edition of the Online Educational Leadership Forum "Can Educators lead the ‘Decade of Action’ for SDGs?" was held.
