Dr. Karen Moran Jackson is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology and Assessment at Soka University of America, teaching graduate students in the Educational Leadership and Societal Change MA Program.

Dr. Jackson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a PhD from the Department of Educational Psychology and a Portfolio in Applied Statistical Modeling from the Department of Statistics and Data Science. She has co-authored two books, published several academic articles, and presents frequently at conferences. Her research interests include the use of data and assessment in educational settings, teacher perceptions of assessment, and adolescent development. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a middle grades science and technology teacher.
