Dr. Satish Prakash Chand is an assistant professor in education at Fiji National University. He holds a PhD in education from the University of the South Pacific. He has 18 years of teaching experience in primary schools and 13 years at tertiary institutions in Fiji. Apart from currently being the Assistant Professor in Education at Fiji National University, he has been the Practicum Coordinator (Primary), Head of Department (Secondary), Head of Department (Primary), and was also the Head of School, School of Education, in the College of Humanities and Education at Fiji National University.

Dr. Chand is actively involved in research and has published papers in international and ranked journals. He is also a reviewer for four different international journals. Dr. Chand has presented papers at various local and international conferences.Dr. Chand's research interests include curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and teacher education.
