Prof. Marmar Mukhopadhyay, former Professor and Director of NIEPA, Chairman of the National Open School, and Vice President (Asia) of ICDE (Oslo), is currently the Chairman of the Educational Technology and Management Academy Council, Gurgaon.

Prof. Marmar Mukhopadhyay, former Professor and Director of NIEPA, Chairman of the National Open School, and Vice President (Asia) of ICDE (Oslo), is currently the Chairman of the Educational Technology and Management Academy Council, Gurgaon. He has been involved in Indian educational policy-making and planning at the highest levels. Marmar has represented India at manyimportant international forums, including UNESCO in Paris, Geneva, Bangkok, Beijing, Manila, andothers.He has made significant contributions to educational literature, primarily on educational technologyand management.

A few of his globally recognised books include 'Total Quality Management inEducation' (SAGE), 'Academy Leadership: Enhancing School Effectiveness' (Routledge), “AcademicFramework for Global Peace and Harmony' (IGI Global), 'The World of Learning' (ETMA), and 'OpenSchooling: Selected Experiences' (COL).UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Bank, USAID, ODA, COL, CEMCA, ISRO, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, XeroxCorporation, and many others consulted him on educational policy planning, management, and ICTintegration in education.The Government of India flagged Mukhopadhyay’s successful experimentation with qualityimprovement in rural primary schools in West Bengal, which was discussed at the HLG meeting inBrazil (EFA 2005).
