Dr. Sangeeta Pethiya is an Assistant Professor of History at the Department of Education in Social Sciences and Humanities (DESSH), Regional Institute of Education (RIE), NCERT, Bhopal. She earned her M.A. in History (Modern India) in 1994, graduating as a gold medalist. Dr. Pethiyas scholarly contributions include publishing the monograph “Building Knowledge, Transforming Lives: A GCED Handbook” with APCEIU, UNESCO, Seoul, and editing several books like  A handbook on Global Citizenship education for upper primary teachers, “Developing 21st century skills through the learning -teaching of History and many others.

She is also a  teacher trainer in pedagogy and content in History,Social sciences,Social and Emotional learning, and Global Citizenship Education.She has been a resource person   at various International and National platforms.Dr. Pethiya continues to contribute through her research, publications, and educational leadership.
