Valeria Cavioni, Ph.D., is a psychologist and psychotherapist, currently serving as Associate Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Society and Communication Sciences at Universitas Mercatorum in Rome, Italy. With over fifteen years of academic and professional experience, her expertise focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of school-based programs aimed at promoting the psychological well-being of both students and teachers.
She has collaborated with local, national, and international institutions, including major projects for the European Commission, UNESCO, and the OECD. Valeria has held research and teaching positions at several universities across Europe and beyond and is an active member of the European Network for Social and Emotional Competence (ENSEC) and the Network of Experts on the Social Dimension of Education and Training (NESET).
Her research has been widely presented at international conferences, and she has delivered keynote speeches for institutions such as the Lombardy Regional Government, the Italian Senate, and the National Association of Psychologists. Valeria has contributed extensively to scientific journals and edited volumes at both national and international levels. Among her recent publications is the book “Fostering Teachers' Mental Health: Evidence from Theory, Research, and Practice” (Palgrave Macmillan).
