Veda Sunassee is the Chief Executive Officer of the African Leadership College (Mauritius) and the African Leadership University (Rwanda), overseeing operations across both the Mauritius and Rwanda campuses. Veda has spent 15 years in the African Leadership Group, first as an educator at the African Leadership Academy before joining Fred Swaniker, the Founder of ALU, to launch the first campus in Mauritius.
In 2017, he moved to Rwanda to launch the Rwanda campus.During a sabbatical in 2020, Veda Sunassee co-founded NiaDelta - a Leadership and Education consulting firm that advises corporate C-suites as well as education leaders. He is a graduate of Princeton University and is joining us from his home country, the beautiful island of Mauritius. Veda was selected among the inaugural Obama Leaders in 2018, and more recently as a World Economic Forum’s 2024 Young Global Leader.
