Kaitlyn O. Holshouser is a doctoral candidate in the Elementary Education strand of the Curriculum and Instruction Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA. She is a former fourth and fifth grade teacher who is passionate about supporting both in-service and pre-service teachers. She is currently conducting a comparative case study that explores the intersection of global and sustainability education in North Carolina’s Global Ready Schools. As a Graduate Assistant in the Reading and Elementary Education Department at UNC Charlotte, Kaitlyn has worked to support and instruct teacher candidates in ELED 4220, Instructional Planning for Diversity in the Elementary School Classroom.
